Offering first class medical and pastoral care for patients and their families, our specialities include surgical services and advanced care for more critical patients, endoscopy and inpatient rehabilitation.
With four operating theatres and two endoscopy procedure rooms, St Vincent’s Hospital provides both day and overnight surgical medical services in specialties that include urology, general surgery, colorectal surgery, plastic surgery, gynaecology surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, gastroenterology, general medical services and rehabilitation. Our High Dependency Unit provides advanced care for more acute patients.
Calvary St Vincent’s Hospital is affiliated with the University of Tasmania and is a first choice placement for a variety of students.

At Calvary St Luke’s Hospital we understand that having visitors is an important part of ensuring the well-being and recovery of our patients.
General visiting hours
Visiting hours at Calvary St Luke’s Hospital are from 11am – 8pm, with a rest period between 12pm – 2.30pm
At particular times during a patient’s stay, it may be appropriate for a family member, close friend or carer to stay overnight. Please discuss this with the ward Nurse Manager.
Parking and transport
Travelling to and from Calvary St Luke’s Hospital is easy for patients, visitors, staff and volunteers. Our hospital is located close to public transport facilities and has ample parking. Parking is available in our onsite car park and surrounding streets. Disability parking is available outside reception.
